Together with their customers – industrial bakeries, small artisanal bakeries and midsized bakeries – they explore the world of bakery. In today’s society consumer trends and demands are ever changing. By thinking differently Zeelandia finds inventive ways to create bakery success with products and services tailored to local tastes and needs. Global and local Marketing teams play a crucial role in developing market – and customer insights, managing the product portfolio, introducing product innovations and building commercial excellence. One of these teams is responsible for the global Pastry market. This market is divided into 3 main product categories; coatings, mixes and fillings. The fillings portfolio is very divers with a lot of different kinds of fruit, creams, chocolates, nuts and more. The fillings are produced in several Zeelandia plants all over the world. For the global fillings team we are searching for a commercial and market driven Product Manager.


  • Responsible for growing the long-term value and performance of the division Fillings
  • Developing and aligning the strategy and annual plans for the division, in close cooperation with the Global Category Manager Pastry, local Sales & Marketing and R&D teams and other functional disciplines
  • Gathering and discussing market – and customer insights together with the global market insights team, for making and adjusting category and product plans
  • Steering the product portfolio by validating products positioning, identifying growth opportunities for new business and launching  innovative propositions and solutions together with Sales and R&D
  • Supporting and validating the marketing communication for the division Fillings through advertising and packaging
  • Visiting customers (together with Sales), exhibitions and seminars for a good understanding of market demands and for the introduction of new products
  • Partnering with Supply Chain and Procurement, to optimise product mix management, global allocation and customer prioritisation
  • Reporting to the Global Category Manager Pastry, based in Spain


  • Bachelor or Master degree, for example in a technological or commercial direction
  • Relevant experience in international B2B marketing / product management, preferably in the food and/or food ingredients business
  • Strong project management skills by leading and participating in cross-functional teams and by building bridges between global and local teams
  • Good understanding about actual market and customer requirements in the food business and able to translate this into plans and actions
  • Familiar with the dynamics and various stakeholders in an international matrix organisation with global teams and multiple country units 
  • Comfortable working in an international business environment with different markets and cultures and willingness to travel 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and is able to be based in one of the 13 European countries with a plant or office of Zeelandia
  • Personal skills: self-starter, convincing, energetic, analytical, customer and market driven, well organised, flexibility and perseverance
