Foodjob Nordic is looking for an ambitious commercial profile to develop B2B accounts at our client European Freeze Dry. European Freeze Dry supplies freeze drying solutions for food ingredients and finished food products to the European Market. Quality and efficiency is key and the capabilities include special drying solutions for high-value food ingredients. The company has 60 dedicated employees based on two plants in Denmark and one plant in UK.

Responsibilities and goals

With reference to the CEO you will be responsible for identifying and developing customers in the high-value commission drying segment. The customer segment consists of a mix of large and small European food ingredient companies and your focus will be:

  • Identification of potential customers (including expanding the current geographic footprint in Europe)
  • Making initial contact to new potential customers and establishing relations to key persons
  • Identifying customer needs and new business potential
  • Conveying the value proposition and capabilities of the company
  • Negotiating contractual terms and conditions

As Business Development Manager you will be involved in the entire go-to-market process. With emphasis on selling specialized solutions you will be working both strategically and operationally with customers from the initial contact to delivery and follow up.

You possess a track record of minimum five years working internationally with food ingredients – preferably with premium categories such as cultures, probiotics and nutraceuticals. Your commercial experience includes both value-selling and the development of new sales, and you are well trained in the understanding of customer needs and assessing opportunities to create win-win customer relations.

On a personal level you are both outgoing and self-starting with excellent communications skills (fluent in English) as well as interpersonal skills. Last but not least you are motivated by the challenge to develop the business and you possess the energy and the stamina required to succeed even when it gets tough. 
The position is based at the company HQ in Kirke Hyllinge, Denmark potentially in combination with home office. Due to the international character of the position, a significant amount of travel should be expected.
