For our Client, international production company, we are looking the Candidate for the position of:

AGRONOMY SPECIALIST

In this challenging and hands-on position you are part of a young and ambitious team and you’ll report to the head of Agronomy team in Poland. You will be responsible for monitoring the crop fields and support the farmers with your expertise. You also register and collect agronomical information and give your advice based on that information. You’ll cooperate with suppliers in the area of cultivation methods, pesticides and fertilizer programs and work close together with you colleagues in Poland and the Netherlands. You’re informed about changing legislation and regulations in your field od expertise and translate this into polices.

Key Tasks:

• Train the farmers on proper application of pesticides and fertilizer
• Visiting and supporting farmers on cultivation problem solving
• Advice on the new cultivation methods
• Making crop forecasting on volume and acreage

Job Requirements:

• A degree on Horiculture, agriculture or agronomy and a very good knowledge on fruits and vegetables cultivation and production, feritization and soil preparation and conventional & biopesticides and IPO
• Proven exprerience for several years in the soft fruits and vegetable cultivation industry
• Insight and ability to advice proper cultivation methods into practical solutions on farms
• Knowledge and understanding of Polish laws on protection and fertilizer agents
• Ability to develop training material and to train farmer(group)s
• Personality to connect with farmers and to build a relation of trust
• Ability to execute on-farm realization of given advisedA
• nalitical and a problem solving mind setGood knowledge of English
• Driving license and willingness to travel
