Customer Innovation Manager for AAK in Europe
Foodjob Nordic is looking for a technically sound and experienced profile for an application expert role at AAK - the leading producer of specialized oils and fats for the food industry. AAK in Aarhus has unmatched expertise in the application of vegetable oils and fats in chocolate and confectionery (CCF). This is a unique opportunity to join one of the world’s strongest B2B development teams and become a specialist within the field.
Position
AAK – The Co-Development Company - measure the quality of solutions in the satisfaction of the customers. Working with formulations, technologies and tailor-made solutions you will be involved in a wide variety of customer projects in a challenging environment where two days are never alike. Some key elements in the job will be:
- Technical advice on processes and formulations and validating product functionality
- Visiting the customers, making plant trials, demonstrations etc. in their home field
- Developing new, tailor-made products and applications as well as optimizing the existing
- Optimizing formulations combining relevant technologies
- Creating documentation and proof points
- Knowledge sharing via e-learnings, academies, customer workshops etc.
You will be responsible for keeping up-to-date with AAK capabilities and industry trends as well as knowing and understanding AAK customer’s technologies, products and challenges.
Based on your customer knowledge and being responsible for specific customer projects, you will - in cooperation with sales - be the liason between the customer and internal departments in AAK. You will be part of a strong technical and commercial AAK-network in Europe and globally and you will work in close cooperation with technicians in the laboratories, with the commercial departments as well as with operations at the different AAK sites.
The position is based at AAK in Aarhus, Denmark. However your customers will be both multinational companies and regional leaders in Europe, so you should expect travel activity of approximately 50 days per year.
Profile
In the perfect world you are already an experienced application specialist within the CCF field. However know-how from related food technologies combined with dedication to develop the CCF expertise is also a way. So is having CCF expertise from research, NPD or equipment/machinery when combined with eagerness to apply your expertise as a B2B application specialist. No matter how, we expect you to have a technical background in chemical engineering, food science, molecular biology or the like as a solid foundation for further strengthening your technical know-how.
To thrive and have success in the role it is also quite important that you possess great interpersonal skills and that you have a customer oriented mindset. You like working with people with different backgrounds and cultures, and you are motivated by building strong relationships, working closely together with AAK’s customers internationally. Consequently good communication skills in English – written and spoken – are required in the role.
We are looking for a proactive and flexible professional who is eager to deliver and takes an active part in co-developing solutions for the customers. A teamplayer who is also strong in project management and able to balance working in details and at the same time keeping the broad overview of many parallel running projects.
