For our Client, international production company, we are looking the Candidate for the position of:

PURCHASE MANAGER

As Purchase Manager you are with a small team of purchasers, responsible to provide the highest level of red fruit for factory in Poland. You will report to the Director Procurement & Agronomy in the Netherlands.

Key Tasks:

• To manage the business relationship with major suppliers, oversee the business and manage the procurement process while ensuring customer satisfaction
• To contribute to the development of operational strategies in order to meet the procurement strategy’s objectives and ecourage their implementation
• Ensure procurement processes and supplier management are carried out in accordance with identifield company rules, procesures and standards in order to accopmplish the agreed-upon scope
• To manage and monitor supplier expenditures against the budgetes targets
• Evaluate current and implement future procurement requiprements, effectively expressing them and translating them into specific requiprements
• You will develop scenario plans and models that take into consideration all external factors affecting supply and work close with close with the planning & sales team to inform them of any risks and concerns
• You will balance a complex set of variables to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality ingredients, communicate metrics to kay stakeholders and senior management and examine the impact and root cause of supply gaps. They will identify opportunities for continual improvement and if needed, develop plans for doing so.

Job Requirements:

• Master’s degree and at least 5 years of professional experience in the procurement of fruit. Any additional education (MBA, PhD, CIPS) would be an advantage
• Good knowledge of English
• Very good communication skills
• Strong analytical skills (ability to gather data from many sources, analyze, draw conclusions and make recommendtions
•  Significant experience in similar environment at a mangement level
• Project & People management skills
• Self-motivated, a can-do mentality and commfort with risk and ambiguous situations
• Driving license and willingness to travel
